A paper business card does one job: it hands over your name and number. Then it sits in a drawer, gets lost in a wallet, or goes out of date the day you change your title. A digital business card does the same job, and keeps doing it after the meeting.

What a digital business card is

A digital business card is a small web page about you: your photo, name, title, company and the ways to reach you. It has its own link and QR code. When someone opens it, they see your details and can act on them right away: call, message you on WhatsApp, email, get directions or save you to their contacts in one tap.

Because it’s a page, not a print, it is always current. Change your number in the app and everyone who has your card sees the new one.

How people open it

There are three common ways to share it:

  • QR code. Show the code on your phone screen; the other person points their camera at it.
  • Link. Send it in a message, put it in your email signature or on your social profiles.
  • NFC card. A physical card with a chip. Hold it near a phone and the page opens. If NFC is turned off, the QR code on the back works.

In every case the other person needs nothing but a browser. No app, no sign-up.

What to put on it

Keep it short and useful. A good digital card has:

  1. A clear photo and your full name.
  2. Your title and company, so people remember the context.
  3. One main action. For most small businesses that’s WhatsApp or a phone call.
  4. The extras that save you questions: your location with directions, a booking link, your website, your IBAN if customers pay you by transfer.

Leave out anything you wouldn’t hand to a stranger. You decide what is visible, and you can turn any field off later.

Why it beats paper for small businesses

  • Nothing to reprint. New title, new number, new logo: edit once.
  • Saved, not lost. People save you to their contacts in one tap, so your details live in their phone, not in a pile of cards.
  • More than contact details. A booking button or a Google review button turns a first meeting into the next step.
  • Works for a team. A company can give every employee a card with the same logo and colors, and keep customers when someone leaves.

How to make one in a few minutes

With Minodo you download the app, add your photo and details, and your card is ready with its own QR code and link. AI can fill in your company details from your website; you check them and approve. The NFC card is optional: it just makes sharing a single tap.

The best business card is the one people still have a year later. A digital one makes that easy.

Meet today. Win the customer tomorrow.

Download the app and set up your card in two minutes, with or without a physical card.
